Recent Work | CfBT Education Malaysia CfBT in Malaysia For the last 28 years CfBT Education Malaysia has been actively involved in the development of Malaysia's human capital, mainly through a succession of key projects in collaboration with the Ministry of Education to improve English, the teaching of English and subjects taught through English in Government schools. Project to Improve English in Rural Schools (PIERS) We are currently working with state and royal foundations and corporate funders to provide teacher development projects to improve English in rural schools. The projects are aimed at English language teachers as well as Mathematics and Science teachers focusing on English language proficiency, classroom delivery, the use of ICT and outside class activities. Ministry of Education Recent work with the Ministry of Education has included contracts to employ, manage and support English Language Coordinators (click here for more information) working with schools and teachers in rural areas, and Project English Teachers (click here for more information) working in residential schools. Another recent project involved the training and support of Maths and Science lecturers based in Matriculation Colleges. International Schools and Consultancies CfBT undertook a consultancy in 2006 to establish an international school in Putrajaya. CfBT Education Malaysia is expanding its international school portfolio in the region. We also provide consultancy in school governance, inspections and leadership training.
